Founded in 2007, the League of Women Voters in Pompton Lakes, NJ has successfully proposed coverage for council meetings, hosted candidate forums running for Borough Council and conducted voter registrations days.

The league is a non-partisan political organization that encourages active and informed participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The League does not support or oppose any candidate or party. Operating on a non-profit, voluntary basis, its work is financed by dues and contributions from members and the general public.  Membership is open to all citizens of voting age.

2022 General Election Information

Do you have questions about voting this Fall during the General Election on Tuesday, November 8th? There will be plenty to consider during this midterm election year, as all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will be contested. Thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested. This will also be the first election affected by the redistricting that will follow the 2020 census.
