Founded in 2007, the League of Women Voters in Pompton Lakes, NJ has successfully proposed coverage for council meetings, hosted candidate forums running for Borough Council and conducted voter registrations days.

The league is a non-partisan political organization that encourages active and informed participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The League does not support or oppose any candidate or party. Operating on a non-profit, voluntary basis, its work is financed by dues and contributions from members and the general public.  Membership is open to all citizens of voting age

NJ Primary Election – Tuesday, June 7th

There’s still time to register & declare your party in time to vote in the June 7th Primary Election! The registration deadline for the 2022 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 17th 2022.

‍You can register to vote if you are a U.S. citizen, 17 years old (with the understanding you may not vote before your 18th birthday), have been a resident of your NJ county 30 days before the elections, and you are not currently serving a sentence of incarceration for a felony conviction. Individuals on probation or parole are eligible to register to vote.
